I made a slide show using some of the photographs I took at the show I went to today in Manchester, New Hampshire. All the quilts were machine quilted either on a regular home machine or hand guided large machine. Some of the newer machines are able to be programmed so you can set the design, walk away and the machine will do it for you. They are very expensive and usually only people who are in the business of quilting quilts for others will invest in them. The show had many companies there to showcase their newest machines. It was interesting, but nothing I plan to invest in. As you will see when you watch the slide show, they gave vintage quilt tops to some professional quilters and had them finish them. They were beautiful to see. They were all full size although when I looked at some of the pictures, they looked miniature, especially one of the quilts that has a lot of white and a scalloped edge. I took a close up of the quilting to show the detail.
I had a wonderful day and was happy to see the ProChemical vendor there so I could buy more dye. :)
If you want to look a bit longer at one of the quilts just stop the slide show.
Play a Little Every Day,
Diane
